CrucialSoft has developed a free game for the BlackBerry Curve, Bold and Storm called RHex.

From the description:

The objective of RHex is to make points by exploding connected hexagons. This objective is accomplished by rotating the hexagons around central hexagon. Connect 4 or more hexagons and they will explode giving you points. When connected hexagons explode, the free hexagons will explode also giving extra points.

Although RHex is free the developer is asking for donations to go towards upcoming games. Right now there are only desktop installation links, but I’ll keep an eye out for OTA links and post them when they become available.

The last time I mentioned this free Tetris game for BlackBerry it was named BBTetris and was at version 4.2. Since then it has been renamed BlockBerry (very nice!) and is now at version 5.4!

Papped has updated his free and awesome BBTetris BlackBerry game to version 4.2.

The last time I mentioned BBTetris it was at version 3.1. Since then there have been a lot of fixes and improvements, including a version for the BlackBerry Pearl!

Papped has updated his highly addictive and free BBTetris game to version 3.1.

Here are the changes that have been made since I last posted about it:

• v3.1
  • Added keyboard controls
• v3.0
  • (FIXED) Blocks not dropping when resuming from certain situations
  • (FIXED) Level 12+ was insanely fast
  • Added pause screen
  • Added background to high score screen
  • Added game over sound effect
  • Various rendering optimizations. Some of them had to be disabled in 83XX version since they apparently don’t work correctly

  • Believe I fixed the issue of starting/resuming a game, yet sometimes the pieces wouldn’t start dropping

Papped has released a new version of his BBTetris game for BlackBerrys. Originally developed for the BlackBerry Bold 9000, the new version of BBTetris extends compatibility the the Curve 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330 and 8900!

Check out the new features:

• Equalized music volume for the 3 songs
• Sound off/on wasn’t always properly playing a song
• Sound effect on line clear
• Added grid to play area
• Fixed the music randomization issue
• Last Score displays during the game
• Randomizes between 3 tetris songs
• Game pauses and shows score when game ends (only last score for now)
• Game should pause when you minimize/get a call/etc.

I’m glad this BBTetris became available for the 8900 because Tetris, in general, is an awesome game.

Ronen over at BerryReview just posted about a new and free Tetris application that was customized specifically for the BlackBerry Bold.

There isn’t much to say about this application other than it is free and appears to be pretty good. It does work on the BlackBerry Curve 8900, but the background is a bit weird. There is a white space underneath the background that the blocks fall in to, probably a bad wallpaper size.

Give it a shot though and let me know what you think.

I know there are lots of people addicted to Tetris, if you have a BlackBerry Storm you can now play Tiltris!

Tiltris is available for both the BlackBerry Storm 9500 and 9530, and takes advantage of the Storm’s touchscreen and accelerometer.

I don’t have a Storm to test it out myself, but from the video made by BBWorld.info it seems like it works pretty well. If you decide to try it out be sure to comment on your experience!

Just got an email from Bplay letting me know that they are now selling EA Games.

So far it seems like the only EA Games available at the Bplay site are:

• Tetris
• Monopoly
• Madden NFL 09
• The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown
• EA SPORTS FIFA 08

Trials don’t seem to be available . Let me know what you think if you try these games out.
