The day many of you Tumblrs have been waiting for is finally here! Tumblr has announced their official BlackBerry application. Here are some of the features I noticed in the slideshow of the app:

• The Dashboard shows Text, Photo, Quote, Link, Chat, Audio and more
• Photos: include captions, advanced post options
• Audio: include a description, record, play, advanced post options
• Video: record a new video or choose an existing video
• Text: save for later or clear entire post
• Advanced Post Options: Post to (category), choose when to publish, date, tags, URL and send to Twitter
• More…

Google has just announced that their Google Mobile App for BlackBerry now allows you to search through your BlackBerry emails and contacts. This…is…awesome!

The native BlackBerry search function can be tedious at times. With the Google Mobile App you can quickly search your device by simply typing or speaking a search term such as a name or phrase. Once matches are found you can open the message,  email, SMS or call the contact! The Google Mobile App will also remember who you contact most often and promote them to the top of the suggestions list.

Web search and device search can be toggled by clicking the link underneath the search box. If you don’t want the Google Mobile App to be able to search your device you can turn it off in the options screen. Anyone with a BlackBerry running OS 4.2 and higher can use contact search but email search is limited to devices running OS 4.5 and higher.

Besides for these new features the Google Mobile App can now also use your WiFi connection to speed up web searches. To download the app visit m.google.com/search from your BlackBerry Browser or from your desktop browser for more info.
