Following up the release of Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones 3.0.0.9 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone, RIM also released beta version 3.0.0.16 of Twitter for BlackBerry. The Twitter app was also recently updated with some goodies including BBM Integration, Twitter Photo support and more. Here are the changes for beta version 3.0.0.16:

• Loading spinner persists after sending a Tweet
• BBM is prompting user to update their status twice after uploading a photo
• Unable to open links from Social Feeds
• Phantom DM notification
• Prompted with “Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_twitter (309) is not responding; process terminated” after app hang
• Promoted Tweet – Dismiss is still available in the menu and GCM when viewing the profile of the promoted Tweet user
• BlackBerry Bridge “Open Link On PlayBook” does not work for Twitter (but does for all other BB apps)
• Memory leak after changing options
• Uncaught exception when opening the Messages
• Need error message to indicate when an account is suspended
• Unable to see top trending lists beyond the basic ‘worldwide’ list
• The Favorite counter is not accurate after click follow and then unfollow many times quickly
• Map it doesn’t work for any location on the 9930
• Twitter not showing up in the Send menu after upgrading device OS
• “Are you sure you want to dismiss this tweet?” > T in Tweet is not capitalized
• Create New List  - description  text it is cut at the bottom of the edit field

And you thought the app updates were over for today! Along with updates to Facebook for PlayBook and Facebook for BlackBerry v3.0 beta, RIM also released Twitter for BlackBerry version 3.0 (3.0.0.11) in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Like the Facebook beta, this version 3.0 of Twitter includes BBM integration, improvements and fixes. Here’s a breakdown of the new features:

Besides for updating the Facebook for PlayBook and Twitter for BlackBerry apps today, RIM also updated the BlackBerry Bridge app. Now at version 1.0.7.5, this update includes a bug fix “where the Add new tablet button did not appear on some devices”. RIM recently released version 2.1 of Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones but already updated the app with a fix. If you have a Curve or Pearl and experienced issues with the initial 2.1 release, you’ll want to update to today’s release of version 2.1.0.28. Here’s the changelog:

• FIX: BlackBerry® Curve™ and BlackBerry® Pearl™ users are now able to view a user’s profile page from an @Mention.
• Note: To sign out of Twitter v2.1, press the Menu key and select Switch Account. Highlight the account you would like to sign out of, press the Menu key and select Sign Out

Twitter for BlackBerry today was officially updated to version 2.1, a small update from version 2.1.0.25 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Share with BBM
While you could always share Tweets with your BBM contacts (as well as through email, text message, PIN, and Facebook®!), the Share with BBM feature has been added as a top-level menu item to make it easier to share Tweets with your BBM contacts. Having conversations about relevant Tweets through BBM has never been so easy.

View multiple Twitter accounts in a single timeline
Using Social Feeds, you can view a stream of Tweets from up to five Twitter accounts in a single Social Feeds timeline, or you can opt to filter individual Twitter accounts.

Post a Tweet to multiple Twitter accounts
Do you have one Tweet that begs to be published from multiple accounts – all at the same time? Now it’s possible to publish a Tweet to one or more Twitter accounts simultaneously. Just click New Post from the menu and select all of the Twitter accounts you wish to post a Tweet from and you’re good to roll. It’s that simple.

I just let you know Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones was updated in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Today the Twitter for BlackBerry app was also updated in the Beta Zone. The latest version available is 2.1.0.20 and includes the following changes:

• *Fixed* @Mention – No notification of @mentions from users you are not following
• *Fixed* @Mention – The @mention notification in the message app does not clear
• *Fixed* @Mention – Splat on Mentions icon is hard to clear if you happen to be on the Mentions screen when the push notification arrives
• *Fixed* Options – Reordering of top two option items
• *Fixed* Virtual Keyboard – When composing a new Tweet or reply, the virtual ‘Tweet’ and ‘reply’ buttons do not activate
