ATT WhiteBold Final Confirmed: White BlackBerry Bold 9000 Coming To AT&T On October 18th

AT&T let my buddy @ASacco know that the white BlackBerry Bold 9000 will be available to customers on October 18th through the AT&T website.

The new, blanc Bold will sell for the same price as the existing BlackBerry Bold 9000–$199.99 with a new two-year service agreement, after rebate. The BlackBerry Bold 9000 is an AT&T exclusive device in the United States, and the carrier first started selling the device in October 2008.

The only difference between the white and black Bold 9000 is the color, so if you prefer white and you like the Bold then this device is for you. Don’t forget that the Bold 9700 (aka Onyx), an upgraded version of the 9000 with more features in a smaller form factor, will possibly go on sale some time in November or early December.

Will you snag a white Bold 9000 when it goes live on the AT&T website, wait for the Bold 9700 or just get both? Let me know in the comments!

I guess white is RIM’s new thing. Which new BlackBerry do you plan on getting?

BlackBerry Onyx TMo First Official Image Of The T Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700 (Onyx)

My buddy Al Sacco (aka @ASacco) scored the first official image of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 (aka the Onyx),  which has been confirmed as launching before the end of 2009!

Apparently this image was sent to him by T-Mobile USA PR before he agreed to any embargo, so he decided to share it with all us BlackBerry addicts. Here’s a tidbit from the message sent to Al by T-Mobile:

“The BlackBerry ‘Onyx’ sports a premium experience and design with a high-gloss black finish and leather grain detail on the back. Boasting features such as high-speed 3G Web browsing, Wi-Fi calling, visual voicemail and support for corporate and personal e-mail options, the ‘Onyx’ will satisfy all your on-the-go needs. Also the phone comes preloaded with mobile applications from BlackBerry App World, including Amazon MP3 store for quick and easy music downloads and TeleNav GPS Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.”

In addition, T-Mobile plans on releasing a white Curve 8520 next month. Not sure how many are excited about a white 8520, but I know plenty of people who are excited about the Onyx (including myself). Anyone else hear anything about any upcoming BlackBerry devices?

Kudos Al!

It looks like RIM might be getting ready to release a white BlackBerry Bold soon, according to some images sent to BGR.

The advanced wireless testing facilities at Canadian school York University is apparently now being used by Telus and WIND to test new RIM devices. A professor involved with these tests was able to snag one of the white Bolds and took a few pics.

What do you think? Would you get the white version of the BlackBerry Bold?

I think it looks sharp, but I’ve always liked black more.

8520 white tmo White BlackBerry Curve 8520 Coming To T Mobile?

TmoNews got their hands on what appears to be a slideshow presentation of the new T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8520 (aka Gemini) in white.

We’ve already seen some black, branded T-Mobile Curve 8520s so I guess this means there will be two colors to choose from, unless of course the black ones were just pre-releases and the actual color will be white. Although a different color, it appears the white version will also be sporting the new Optical TrackPad.

So far the rumored launch dates are August 5th and some time in July. I’m sure we’ll find out more soon enough since it already passed FCC testing.

Don’t forget to check out the full features and specifications chart if you’re interested in this BlackBerry.

leaked four new handsets heading for verizon 2 Leaked flyer shows white Verizon BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230

Engadget was able to get a leaked flyer showing the white Verizon BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230.

The last device on the flyer, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, is the CDMA version of Flip 8220, and is expected to come with a nice range of features similar to those of the GSM variant. Among the specs of the handset we should see Wi-Fi support, EDGE data and a 2-megapixel camera. Details on availability or price haven’t been unveiled here either.

With the Bold, Storm and now the Curve 8900 available, who is still going to get the Pearl Flip 8230? I guess it depends on the kind of form factor you prefer.

CrackBerry Kevin was able to take a spyshot of a white BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 from a RIM powerpoint slide on the recently announced BES 5.0.

I’m not sure white makes it look better, but I guess it’s good to have variety.

Thoughts?
