The Blackberry Experience In New York

The BlackBerry experience event was held recently in New York in the historic and famous Gotham Hall, situated at the very heart of the city. A stone throw away from many well known NY tourist hot spots. BlackBerry’s hospitality at this event deserves special commendation. Among the many interesting things that were on offer at the event, were a few booth setups that prominently featured BlackBerry partners, new business/enterprise applications and devices.

The event proved to be a pleasant surprise for many as it was a great opportunity to meet BlackBerry bigwigs like CEO John Chen, John Sims and Marty Mallick. The fact that all these guys have been put under the same roof is a big deal on its own. The interactions with these guys greatly served to provide a detailed insight into BlackBerry’s big plans for the future. Happening with the hustle and bustle of New York City in the backdrop, the BlackBerry Experience was a welcome experience for BlackBerry enthusiasts and general public alike.

The BlackBerry Experience essentially is all about professional mobility which will, in all probability, define the Enterprise solutions. Attendees to this meet gained an in depth insight into BlackBerry’s proposed course of action in the near future. BlackBerry’s focus on enterprise is going to be the first step in the direction of enabling far greater communication and increased productivity. The BlackBerry Smartphone transformation is effectively looking to move in the direction of the strategies that favor COPE, Corporate Liable and BYOD.

BlackBerry managed to consistently establish three key points throughout the day.

  1. Renewed commitment to both their current and former customers.
  2. Comprehensive value expansion as a trusted mobility provider.
  3. Leveraging their already rich ecosystem with possible partner applications.

For the time being BlackBerry plans to provide such services that will transcend the devices. Power to maximize productivity will be entrusted to the workers. The anywhere, anytime access to content that is provided for BlackBerry will greatly enhance the BlackBerry experience. The whole session was an eye opener to all those people who were in doubts over the future course of action for BlackBerry. The event concluded with a final Media and Press meet with John Sims, the President of BlackBerry’s Global Enterprise Services.

Sims patiently and in a detailed fashion, answered all the questions, the Press had to ask regarding BBM and BlackBerry’s retail stores. The proposed BBM for desktop, BBM money and BBM tablets are reportedly fast nearing completion. The exciting event at Gotham Hall was proof enough that the present market situation has awoken a sleeping giant. Whether BlackBerry has been sleeping out of helplessness or by choice, this remains to be seen in the future. BlackBerry’s recent positive attitude is a ray of sunshine. The New York event seems to have successfully assured enterprises, businesses and BlackBerry enthusiasts alike that BlackBerry’s future is safe and sound. The BlackBerry’s aggressive new strategy will ensure that they have a flourishing ship to run. The much awaited comeback of BlackBerry seems to be underway.
