The Amazon Appstore has become a premium source of Android apps for users of BlackBerry. Installing Android apps on your BlackBerry is easier than you think. As you should already know you can find Android apps in BlackBerry World. But at Amazon’s appstore, you will also find apps that are not in BlackBerry appstore. In addition to this, Amazon offers a free application every day so theirappstore is worth checking out. Here is how to install apps from Amazon Appstore. You can install the apps in three easy steps.

Download Amazon Appstore and install it on your BlackBerry

You can find the Appstore at the following link: http://www.amazon.com/getappstore.Visit this URL in your BB browser and tap the ‘Download the Amazon Appstore’ button. A window will pop up asking where you would like to save the app and what filename it should have. Specify the location and file name and tap ‘Save’ in the top-right. If you want the app to be saved in the default location, you just need to tap Save.

When the browser has finished downloading the app, tap the file. If you can’t find the download window, tap the three little dots in the bottom right and tap Downloads.

Tap the ‘Appstore’ icon and it should start installing. Tap the ‘Install’ button in the top right. A window will pop up informing you of device permissions. Tap Accept. Now the app is ready to run.

Run the app and login to the Appstore

If you have successfully installed the app, you should be able to find its icon on your home screen. Tap the appstoreicon to run the app.

The next step is to login to your Amazon account by entering your email and password. If you don’t already have an account with Amazon, you will have to create one. Tap the ‘Create Account’ button and then follow the instructions.

Download Android apps and install them

You will be able to find recommended and featured apps on the ‘Appstore’ home screen. If you are looking for something specific, tap the ‘magnifying glass’ icon in the top-right. Or you can browse the categories by tapping the three dots in the top left.

If you discover apps that you would like to install, tap the button that lists its price. It will be shown to the right of the app listing. In the case of paid apps, you will have to tap that button once again to confirm that you really want to purchase. This will begin the download. That’s it!
