Mexican Conglomerate Implements Blackberry 10 And BES 10

Grupo Salinas, the Mexican conglomerate that has business interests in fields as diverse as banking, insurance and electronics, has adopted BlackBerry 10 and BES10. The company has 68,000 employees and generates over 57 billion USD in annual revenue. However, only a small number of its employees will receive BlackBerry smartphones as part of the official deployment.

Now that Grupo Salinas has adopted BES10, they can use it to manage their fleet of cellphones running diverse operating systems like iOS and Android. They will deploy BlackBerry Secure Work Space on these non-BlackBerry phones.

The BlackBerry handsets that are being deployed by Grupo Salinas include the BlackBerry Z30, Z10, and Q10. Only 350 devices are being deployed so this development is unlikely to improve the bottom line for BlackBerry.

When a company that employs 68,000 people buys 350 handsets for some of them, it is a bit like testing how well BB 10 can meet their needs. Still, it is a big achievement for BlackBerry because it shows the Mexican company’s confidence in the capabilities of BES10.

The best thing about BlackBerry’s Secure Work Space is its ability to separate official content from personal content. As a result, employees can use their devices for their personal enjoyment without compromising the safety of official data.

The name BlackBerry is synonymous with reliability and security. By using BES10 and SWS Grupo Salinas can effectively manage the numerous mobile terminals that function within its corporate infrastructure from a single platform.

Grupo Salinas’s Director of Systems and Communications said that they are quite impressed by the stupendous performance of BB 10 smartphones. He was all praise for BB Z30 which boasts of a large 5 inch touch display, incredible battery life and a QWERTY keyboard. BB Q10 also found a mention in his speech. He expressed his hope that BB 10 devices will improve the mobility options available to their corporate users.

Companies that use BES10 on their BB10 smartphones can employ BlackBerry Balance to securely separate corporate data from personal data. This will allow them to control and secure their work-related information. At the same time, employees can run personal apps on their mobile phones without having to worry about sharing corporate data with their personal contacts.

Grupo Salinas supports a complex mobility environment that uses different mobile operating systems. Also its employees have diverse mobility needs. By deploying BES10, Grupo Salinas can simplify their operations and facilitate secure communications across their businesses.

Grupo Salina and BB

BlackBerry is known for its commitment to offering highly secure enterprise mobility solutions. BlackBerry’s enterprise solutions not only enhance employee productivity but also provide them with the tools they need to access work information and stay connected on the go.

This is not the first time Grupo Salinas has worked with BlackBerry. The company has been using BlackBerry devices for a while. The implementation of BES10 and the deployment of BB 10 devices further reinforce BlackBerry’s position as an important partner of Grupo Salinas.

BlackBerry recently launched its EZ Pass migration program with the objective of making the adoption of its BES10 platform easier. The EZ Pass supports free migration to BES10.
