IM+ is an instant messaging app I use on my BlackBerry smartphone a few times a day, every day. I tried using the web version of IM+ out through the browser on the BlackBerry PlayBook and it worked nicely but wasn’t perfect. SHAPE Services announced that they’re working on a full-blown application and even provided a sneak peek photo through their Twitter profile!
As you can see in the photo above, IM+ allows users to message through a number of services including MSN, Yahoo!, Google Talk, AIM, MySpace, Jabber, ICQ, Facebook, Skype and Twitter. So far IM+ for the PlayBook looks bare-bones and functional but I’m sure SHAPE Services will be adding more before its launch. Is anyone excited for IM+ on the BlackBerry PlayBook?
