The Leap is a 5 inch HD touch device. It was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in March 2015. Right now BlackBerry fans in the US, the UK, France and Germany can pre-order the device. If you are moving to an all-touch device, here are a few things you must know.
Swipe to delete
If you want to delete just one word, you have to swipe from right to left with one finger. If you want to delete 2 words, use two fingers.
If you swipe down with one finger from the top of the onscreen keyboard you can quickly change input methods (numeric, text, symbols).
To move the cursor to a particular location, tap the left, right, top or bottom of the cursor. If you want to type with greater accuracy, you should turn on ‘Keypress Pop-up’. This feature will allow you to see which keys you’re entering. To turn on this option, go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Language and Input’ > ‘Feedback’ > ‘Keypress Pop-up’.
When you tap and hold a key you will be able to see all available accented characters. Move your finger right or left to select a character.
To see the time and battery level without leaving an application, swipe up from the lower part of the display and hold your finger on it. Now you will get to see the time and battery level. When you swipe down and take your finger off the screen, you will be back to what you were doing.
BlackBerry 10 supports universal search. It allows you to search everything on your device including apps, emails, text, contact etc.
The BlackBerry 10.3.1 is designed for multi-tasking. You can open browsers, messages, apps and media all at once.
