The beginning of the next mobile age is actually here. Mobile carriers and retailers in the States are starting to introduce pre-order dates for the Blackberry Z10. This is the moment many of us have been waiting for!
While the Z10 has been available in Canada and UK for some time now, everyone here in the States has been forced to watch with dripping anticipation. Did I say dripping excitement? What I actually meant to say is that we’ve felt an unnerving envy!
I hate to use the word finally (even though I use it often), but seriously, the Blackberry Z10 is finally almost here!
AT&T just announced that the Blackberry Z10 will go on sale starting March 22nd, for $199.99 on-contract. Pre-sales and pre-orders for the device officially began today, according to an AT&T press release. For the folks that don’t have an AT&T dealer close by, you can always turn to Best Buy.
If you’re like me and can’t wait to get your hands on the new Z[ed]10 (in the US we pronounce it Zee 10), then at least you can pre-order a unit! Unfortunately, the short wait for the US launch just got even more unbearable because it’s so close!
Best Buy announced that pre-orders for the Blackberry Z10 will start on March 12th. Consumers can pre-order a device at any Best Buy retail location or Best Buy Mobile location in the US. The Blackberry Z10 will be physically available for purchase starting March 22nd. Of course, the Z10 will be offered through AT&T’s network.
In addition to sales staff, Best Buy will also have an in-house technician to help consumers set up their new device, and learn the ins and outs of the Blackberry 10 OS. Essentially, if you don’t have an AT&T store near you, or if you want to learn all about your new Z10, then Best Buy is probably the best place to pick one up.
T-Mobile launched sales of the Blackberry Z10 yesterday for business customers yesterday. As for the other mobile carriers, we still don’t know much yet. I would imagine that since AT&T just unveiled their big announcement, the other carriers will soon follow suit.
I’ve included the AT&T press release below, just in case you want to peruse all sorts of colorful press jargon.
