Exactly one month ago today Darren released Beta 10 of his extremely useful BlackBerry Master Control Program (MCP). Darren let me know that he has released the final version of MCP, v0.9.2.0.

I am constantly looking for ways to improve the browsing and searching experience of BBRocks! I’ve setup a bunch of redirections which I am using as a “URL shortener” so you (the readers) can jump to the device specific category of choice without typing out entire URLs. As some of you may have noticed, I’ve been using the bbrocks.com domain when referring people to the site. This URL redirects to blackberryrocks.com, as will these quick links I am about to show you.

Right now these redirections are only set up for the Apps & Games and Themes & Wallpapers categories just to see if you all would find it useful. Here’s how it works:

• Looking for themes or wallpapers for your new Bold 9700? Instead of using blackberryrocks.com/tag/97xx-themes-wallpapers you can now use bbrocks.com/9700themes
• How about some apps and games? Instead of using blackberryrocks.com/tag/97xx-apps-games you can now use bbrocks.com/9700apps
• If you have an 8130 just use 8100, an 8820 use 8800, etc

Last Monday BBRocks! celebrated its first birthday by having a whole bunch contests with some awesome giveaways as a thank you to all our readers. RIM’s BlackBerry Developer Conference is just around the corner and according to @BlackBerryForum, today is the last day to register online!

ÜberTwitter seems to be  making all the right moves, it’s no surprise they’re still the most popular BlackBerry Twitter app!

When it was first released, ÜberTwitter was pretty basic although already better than TwitterBerry. Being an open beta BlackBerry app, ÜberTwitter was able to benefit from worldwide feedback and quickly became the app it is today. A few of the major updates to ÜberTwitter include multiple accounts, save Twitter searches, auto-complete usernames (very useful), TwitVid integration, free/paid options, and now TweetPhoto integration!

“We chose TweetPhoto as our default photo service because we wanted to give our users the fastest, easiest and most reliable photo service available,” said Paul McDonald, founder of ÜberTwitter. “From a user-experience standpoint, TweetPhoto offers the richest experience to our users.   And from a developer’s perspective, TweetPhoto’s API is extensive, reliable, and extremely easy to integrate.”

ÜberTwitter Beta 5 integrates TweetPhoto’s uploading, voting, favoriting, commenting and geo-tagging features, in addition to allowing users to view all photos they uploaded, comments posted on photos and more. TweetPhoto is an awesome Twitter photo sharing service, the only one I use.
