BlackBerry Bold 9700 Coming To AT&T On November 22nd?!

att logo 300x173 BlackBerry Bold 9700 Coming To AT&T On November 22nd?!

I’ve received a tip from a person who wishes to remain anonymous, letting me know that AT&T will be getting the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on November 22nd. As per AT&T’s press release about the Bold 9700, here is the pricing info:

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone will be available in the coming weeks for $199.99 (pay $299.99 and receive $100 mail-in-rebate.) AT&T smartphones require the purchase of a monthly data plan. Other monthly charges apply.

The 22nd is less than a week away so we don’t have long to wait to see if this launch date holds up. I’m sure AT&T is eager to launch this device since T-Mobile just made theirs available for purchase.

Has anyone else heard about AT&T’s launch of the Bold 9700?

Bing Load Screen Review: Bing Mobile For The BlackBerry Storm

Daniel Garcia is a web developer/software architect by day, rebellious tech-punk twenty-something by night. He is a contributing writer to BlackBerry Rocks! who reviews applications for BlackBerry devices, as well as shares the occasional tip for fellow Rockers. He has a BlackBerry Storm 9530, soon to be 9550. If you would like to know more about him, you can follow his Twitter account: @buzzedword.

Earlier this month, Verizon pushed out Bing for Mobile to all Storm handsets, as well as preloaded the software onto all new Storm 2 units. If you haven’t already heard, Bing is the new kid on the block to the search market, going toe to toe with the big dog: Google. Why should you be using Bing, instead of Google? Can’t say. I’m here to rock the BlackBerry, not worry about petty search wars.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 Live On The T-Mobile Website, In Stores Tomorrow – Wrong Sample Photo (Oops!)

t mobile blackberry bold 9700 web 8900 oops BlackBerry Bold 9700 Live On The T Mobile Website, In Stores Tomorrow Wrong Sample Photo (Oops!)

I’ve been waiting for this day since the rumors of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 first started leaking and it’s finally here, but it looks like T-Mobile screwed up the website launch. The T-Mobile website has been updated to allow purchasing of the Bold 9700 but  they accidentally included a sample photo of the Curve 8900.

It doesn’t really matter since we already know what it looks like, but I just thought it was odd that they would screw up the launch of their first Bold and first 3G BlackBerry device. But hey…no one’s perfect.  At least it’s out!

The Bold 9700 will be available from T-Mobile for $199.99 ($250 instant discount) with a  new 2-year agreement on the Even More plan, or $449.99 (retail) without a contract on the Even More Plus plan.

More details for the Even More plan:

As a qualified Even MoreSM customer, you have the option to pay for your phone in four interest-free installments. You make the first payment when you purchase your phone, then we charge the remaining payments to your monthly bill. It’s that easy.

More details for the Even More Plus plan:

As a qualified Even More PlusSM customer, you have the option to pay for your phone in 20 interest-free installments. You make the first payment when you purchase your phone, then we charge the remaining payments to your monthly bill. It’s that easy.

The Bold 9700 should be available for purchase in T-Mobile retail stores tomorrow, November 16th. For more info visit the T-Mobile Bold 9700 page.

Who’s planning on picking one of these up? Let me know in the comments!

NOTICE: BBRocks! Should Now Be Up And Running For The Majority Of Visitors (Details)

Posted by Mauricio on Nov 15, 2009 at 9:02 PM | Comments

This past Friday (the 13th) I posted an important “emergency maintenance” notice letting you all know that BBRocks! might experience some down time, but thanks to our new host (HostGator) and an upgraded server the changeover was quick and painless. This emergency maintenance post did not sync with the server changeover which is why nothing was posted on Friday, to prevent their loss.

As of yesterday the majority of visitors should be able to view BBRocks! without a problem.

The details…the old host was extremely unreliable, as many of you saw with the various and random outages that occurred with BBRocks! Their support was lacking and almost non-existent and their service was atrocious. I should have done a bit more hosting research and for that I apologize to all readers who had to deal with the outages. Live and learn right?

I haven’t been on the HostGator server for more than two days and am already pleased with their service and support. They should prove to be very helpful with ensuring you all have a pleasant and quick browsing experience at BBRocks!

Thanks for your patience and as always, I appreciate your readership!
