Elecite let me know that they have released a SICK-looking premium BlackBerry theme called Stasis.

Stasis offers some great animations with a hatch (which can open/close) in the center that shows you either six user-customizable icons or 5 quick access icons depending on which knob you selected. Besides for the hatch door animations this theme also has rotating vents and chambers.

Stasis is available for $6.99 and is compatible with the BlackBerry 8350, 8500, 8900, 9000, 9500 (OS 4.7 or 5.0), 9600 and 9700 series. I’ve included a video which demonstrates this theme’s animations after the jump. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments!

Urbanspoon let me know that their mobile application is now available for BlackBerry.

Urbanspoon’s Blackberry app is a kind of restaurant slot machine. Just hit the space bar (or shake the phone if you have a Storm) and the wheels will spin, until they settle on a good nearby restaurant for you. You can also lock down the neighborhood, cuisine and price you are interested in. Keep spinning until you get a restaurant you want to try.

Urbanspoon on Blackberry also lets you search and browse restaurants, and uses your current location to identify the nearest restaurants to you.

The Urbanspoon app is currently available for the Curve 8300 series on OS 4.2 or 4.3, Curve 8900, Bold, Storm and Tour. Support for older devices is not available but you can still use the mobile site at urbanspoon.com/m. To download the Urbanspoon app visit  urbanspoon.com/bb from your BlackBerry Browser.

The development of the WordPress Beta app for BlackBerry is definitely coming along nicely. WordPress has just released an updated version of the BlackBerry client that refreshes the user interface and adds some much needed features.

New in v0.9.0.169:

• Based on all the great feedback, we reworked much of the UI layout for the main view, blog view, and media view
• Ability to upload videos from your media library
• New option to set media file properties (filename, caption, title, and position)
• Created a new file browser that resembles the native BlackBerry file browser
