RIM’s BlackBerry Developer Conference is just around the corner and according to @BlackBerryForum, today is the last day to register online!

The 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference features more than 110 sessions that will appeal to commercial developers for both enterprise and consumer markets, corporate developers, business decision makers and application architects and designers. There are a range of sessions designed to accommodate both beginner and advanced application developers, including web developers, .NET developers and Java® developers. In addition to General Sessions and Breakout Sessions, the conference features Hands-on Labs, onsite BlackBerry Developer Certification testing, a Mobility Pavilion and Talk With The Experts areas.

The BlackBerry Developer Conference is being held in San Francisco, CA from November 9-12th. The Google Voice App for BlackBerry has been updated to version 0.1.6 with no changelog, but the update could be related to Google now allowing its users to use their existing number with their Google Voice account.

By allowing users to use their own number with their Google Voice account, users will be able to take advantage of Google Voice’s features without having to change their number or use a different one.

Up until now, if you wanted to use Google Voice, you needed to choose a new number (a “Google number”). Taking calls through your Google number allows us to offer features like call recording, call screening and getting text messages via email. But we know not everyone wants to switch to a new phone number, so it made sense for us to create a lighter version of Google Voice for people who are willing to trade some features for the ability to use their existing numbers.

We’re excited to announce that you now have the choice to get Google Voice with your existing mobile number OR with a Google number.

One of the features you get if you use your own number with your Google Voice account is the functionality of Google voicemail instead of your default carrier voicemail which, I’m being a bit blunt here, sucks.

Google has a guide for how to set up your existing number with your Google Voice account along with a comparison chart of what you get if you use your own number or a Google number. Throughout this week (until Nov 4th) there are going to be some awesome DOTDs in the store that you’ll definitely want to take advantage of. Today’s deal of the day is for Bellshare GmbH’s email and SMS preview application BerryPopup.

When you get a message BerryPopup will show you a preview of it with a “preview window” allowing you to reply, forward, mark as read or delete it without having to switch to the messaging application.

Until 12AM CST tonight you can get BerryPopup for only $3.47, after today it will go back up to $6.95. This app will work with all BlackBerry devices running OS 4.2.1 and higher.

Verizon didn’t promote the BlackBerry Storm2 like they did the Storm, but considering the various issues the Storm had this is understandable. The VerizonWireless YouTube account posted this rocking Storm2 commercial , very brief but straight to the point and it includes a video clip of the rock band Switchfoot. Good band .

In case you missed it, earlier this week Verizon and RIM announced the Storm2 9550 and it went live on the Verizon website this morning.

A few days ago Verizon and RIM announced the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 will be launching today, October 28th. Verizon was right on time with this launch and now has the Storm2 on their website!

To the right of the Storm2 Details box is the Buy One Get One (BOGO) free deal and as you can see in the screenshot below, the Storm2 is part of it like I showed you it would be .
