erry Remember for Blackberry 10 is an incredibly useful app. As the name implies, it’s designed to help you record and recall noteworthy things. This is done particularly through personal memos, voice notes and task reminders. One of the most beneficial aspects of Remember is that it integrates with Evernote functionality so that all of your notes can be stored, and accessed through the cloud.
Even better is the option to include photos, notes and files right along with your moments stored in Remember. Everything can be organized into folders too, so this keeps the interface clean and pleasant. No one wants to see a bunch of notes, files and photos cluttered all over the place.
Check out this video to get a glimpse of Remember in action.
As you can see from the video, she’s organizing and storing content on her Blackberry Z10 in different folders. This allows her to access and inspect the material quickly later. She can select individual due dates for each of the items too, this helps determine the level of significance for certain items.
Remember is deeply integrated with all aspects of the Blackberry 10 OS, which means you can directly add and share content through the native menus. This saves you the trouble of copying and pasting content. Instead, you can just add it directly to the Remember application from within anywhere. It’s this kind of deep integration that truly makes the Blackberry 10 platform innovative- among other things, of course.
Using Blackberry Remember in Blackberry 10
To set up Remember on your Z10, your first step should be to set up a new Evernote account. This can be done easily by navigating to the Blackberry settings, and then visiting the “Accounts” page.
To create a Remember entry, all you have to do is select the “New Entry” button. Everything else is fairly straightforward, and there’s pretty much a guided system. It’s worth noting that you can also create and add new entries to folders with a native share menu- it’s been built into the Blackberry 10 OS.
At the bottom of the item creation window, you will see buttons to add photos (you can capture them too), voice notes and attach files.
If you hit the menu button, there’s an additional option to add tags to the entry. This allows you to browse for moments in the app with specific tags, and actually comes in quite handy once you have a lot of content created.
On the main screen, you can add new folders, where all of your notes and files will be stored. When creating a folder you can also assign a name, select a folder color and choose whether or not the folder and its contents are also stored in the cloud- you do need an active Evernote account for the latter option.
That’s it pretty much! Remember is designed to help you manage daily tasks and content on your device. If you haven’t tried out the application yet on your new Z10, I highly recommend doing so.
