Blackberry Z10 Now Available Through Verizon Wireless in the U.S.

The Blackberry Z10 is available through Verizon today! Remember, Verizon is not just offering the black model but the white variant exclusively. If you want to get your hands on a white Blackberry Z10 here in the US, then you’ll have to order through Verizon Wireless.

Big Red is offering Blackberry’s first flagship for $199.99 with a two-year contract and service agreement. You’ll be locked in for two years unless you decide to go with T-Mobile, who is now offering contract-free plans.

Verizon joins the ranks alongside AT&T and T-Mobile in offering a Blackberry 10 device in the States. Surprisingly, Sprint is not going to sell the Blackberry Z10 and instead has chosen to watch from the sidelines. They probably don’t have faith in the new platform, but that’s just speculation at this point.

It’s worth noting that Verizon is currently offering free two-day shipping for online orders that are placed between Monday and Friday before 4:30pm. It’s free shipping so you might as well take advantage of it while you can.

You can head over to Verizon for more information, or you can continue reading for some useful information about your new Z10 (hopefully it’s already on the way).

What Does the Blackberry Z10 Have to Offer?

Exclusive features like the Blackberry Hub, Time Shift Camera and Blackberry Messenger are available on the Z10. Anyone that wants a revolutionary mobile experience should at least give them a try. Blackberry 10 actually does offer something new and innovative. The platform is snappy, responsive and incredibly user friendly.

Blackberry Hub allows you instant access to all of your messages, notifications and social media updates which are all neatly organized in one place. You can always access Blackberry Hub no matter what application or task is open, with just a single swipe gesture. You can also respond natively to any of the messages, emails or notifications without leaving the Hub.

The Blackberry 10 Camera App "Rewind" Feature

The Blackberry 10 predictive keyboard essentially learns your typing patterns and style. Just like a proprietary third party keyboard offered on alternate platforms (Swiftkey) the keyboard calibrates based on how you type. That means if you continuously press the wrong button, the keyboard will learn what you actually were trying to do and correct accordingly. You can also choose word suggestions simply by swiping up with a finger. It certainly does provide a quick and seamless experience.

The Time Shift Camera feature allows you to rewind time, just to capture that perfect photo. Trying to get a beautiful shot of the kids while on vacation, but one of them is just always making a face? That’s no problem, you can just use the Time Shift Feature to find that perfect moment and preserve it.

Blackberry Messenger has always been one of the strengths of the Blackberry platform. It’s a proprietary communication service that allows you to connect with anyone that uses a Blackberry device. Newly introduced in Blackberry 10 is the integrated video chat feature that allows you to chat instantly with other Blackberry 10 owners face to face, even when you’re far away. You can also share what’s right on your screen, like documents, photos and web pages. BBM is essentially one giant social sharing network.

Of course, there’s a lot more to Blackberry 10 then what I’ve listed above. To find out what the platform has to offer you’ll just have to give it a try! Trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed.
