BlackBerry Apps To Try This Week

Here is a quick overview of some cool new BlackBerry apps we discovered this week. Check them out.

LockBook

The primary purpose of LockBook is to protect your contact list with a password so that others cannot see it. This application does not retrieve data from the contacts application, so you will have to input each and every contact directly into it. While this might seem to be a bit of a hassle, it is not all that difficult. LockBook is highly recommended for people who would like to keep some of their contacts private. LockBook supports all BB 10 devices except the Passport. It is a free app.

Sachesi

You probably already know about the popular firmware application called Sachesi. Now the developer of that desktop utility has built a firmware app for your BlackBerry. Sachesi for BlackBerry makes it easy to search for applications. Users can download and sideload the bar file. The search feature allows you to search by country, carrier or operating system to find links. Sachesi supports all BB 10 devices. It runs $1.99.

HappyBee

Who doesn’t like to have a new theme that adds a bit of sparkle to all elements of their BlackBerry display? HappyBee is available in two beautiful styles. It is a delightful theme that features a lovely background, an adorable icon set, custom fonts, colors, new signal and battery meters and call screens. Both versions run $0.99.

Ziplist

Ziplist is a productivity app that helps you stay organized. It is an online shopping/grocery list that you can share with your family and friends. It syncs across different platforms. The app allows you to add tags to items, group them by aisle, sort by stores and add recipes to the shopping list. You will be able to quickly view all recipes. It is a free app.

BB 10 Apps

Ball Bash Box

Ball Bash Box is a cool native game built for BlackBerry 10 devices. It is a 2D action game that is simple and enjoyable. You have to defend a shaky base and protect your boxes from incoming cannonball fire. In order to accomplish this task, you will have to swipe your way through the cannons. There are three worlds and twenty-seven levels to beat. You will have to fight enemies of different skills and capabilities. And as you beat them you will earn high scores and stars. This is a fun game that comes with nice music and cute graphics. It supports all BB 10 devices. It can be downloaded for $0.99.

Multi Breaker

Brick Breaker is a game that most BlackBerry users are familiar with. This hugely popular game used to come pre-installed on most legacy systems. While you can find numerous variants of this game in BlackBerry World, none of them comes closer to the original than Multi Breaker. This game allows you to fight against a human opponent or a computer. The rules are simple – whoever breaks the bricks faster wins. The graphics are nice and the gameplay is smooth. Multi Breaker supports all BB 10 devices and the BlackBerry PlayBook. It is a free app.

That is all for this week.
